Cookie Policy

Operating entity: Blue Collar News Services Pty Ltd (ABN [TBC]) ("we", "us", "our") Website: Services.BlueCollarNews.com.au (the "Platform") Version: 1.0 (draft) | Effective date: [TBC]

This Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies and trackers

1.1 Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, pixels/tags, and software development kits (SDKs). We refer to all of these as "cookies".

1.2 Cookies may be session (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent (remain for a set period), and first-party (set by us) or third-party (set by a provider).

2. Categories of cookies we use

| Category | Purpose | Set without consent? | |---|---|---| | Strictly necessary | Core functionality — security, load balancing, form submission, session management, fraud prevention. The Platform cannot work properly without these. | Yes — required for the service | | Functional | Remember your preferences and choices (e.g. consent state, language, saved form progress) to improve usability. | Consent-based [confirm] | | Analytics | Understand how visitors use the Platform so we can improve it (e.g. pages visited, performance). | Consent-based | | Advertising / marketing | Measure and (if enabled) deliver relevant advertising and conversion tracking. [Confirm whether any advertising trackers are used at launch — recommend launching without them.] | Consent-based |

3. Named third parties

The following third parties may set or read cookies, or receive technical data, via the Platform. Confirm and update this list before launch:

| Provider | Category | Purpose | |---|---|---| | Supabase | Strictly necessary / functional | Authentication and session management | | Stripe | Strictly necessary | Payment processing and fraud prevention (business customers) | | [Analytics provider — e.g. Google Analytics / Plausible — TBC] | Analytics | Usage measurement | | [Advertising provider — e.g. Google Ads / Meta Pixel — TBC, if any] | Advertising | Conversion tracking / remarketing |

4. Cross-border note

4.1 Some cookie providers are located overseas (including the United States) and may process technical and personal information outside Australia. This is consistent with the overseas disclosure section of our Privacy Policy (APP 8).

5. How to manage or disable cookies

5.1 Consent banner. On first visit we display a consent banner allowing you to accept or reject non-essential cookies (functional, analytics, advertising). Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. You can change your choices at any time via the [cookie settings link — TBC] in the footer.

5.2 Browser controls. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Platform from working.

5.3 Opt-outs. For analytics/advertising, you can use provider opt-outs (e.g. browser add-ons) where available.

6. Consent banner note

6.1 Non-essential cookies are not set until you provide consent via the banner (opt-in), consistent with the consent requirements in the Privacy Act and good-practice guidance. Your consent choice is recorded (including version and timestamp).

7. Changes and contact

7.1 We may update this policy; the current version is on the Platform with its effective date. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information and how to contact our Privacy Officer.
